Abstract/ Description

This networking session will be the first entry point for the interested IoT stakeholders to become involved in the IoT activities in Europe and contribute their opinion. It will start with two presentations on the IoT vision and related innovation needs by the IoT Initiative (IoT-i), the dedicated initiative to gather the IoT community in Europe - and the cluster of European IoT research projects (IERC). They are followed by a presentation highlighting strategies to establish a common IoT architecture by the newly initiated central R&D lighthouse project IoT Architecture (IoT-A). Consecutively 4 newly established EU R&D projects shall present and highlight specific topics and ideas contributing to the overall European IoT strategy. The session will be concluded by a panel discussion and Q&A.

The IoT Networking session Europe is well aligned with the IoT international networking session to offer the audience and the partners a comprehensive coverage of IoT activities at large.
