This conference is designed to discuss the implementation of the RFID Privacy Impact Assessment Framework which has been recently developed by industry (January 2011), endorsed by EU Data Protection authorities (February 2011), and signed by all key stakeholders in Brussels, in the presence of EC's Vice President Neelie Kroes, on April 6th, 2011.
The participants (about 120-150 people from EU Member State administrations, industry associations and networks, and EU/national regulatory agencies) will be given the opportunity to comment on the outcomes of the consultations, including workshops and seminars, that have been organised so far in various EU Member States by industry, with a view to adopting a common European approach to PIA Framework implementation.
